OOM -- for Athelstan

Dorian's room still looks much the same like the first time when Athelstan came up to have a bath.

It looks a little more lived in now -- some books lying around in a half-read state, and some electronic devices, which Dorian seems quite fascinated by. There's another one on his tray with the tea, the paradoxes and the little bowl of awesomesauce, after all.

"Here we are," he says, putting the tray down while kicking the door shut.

He slings an arm around Athelstan's shoulder again.

"Bath now?" he murmurs against the soft, fuzzy dark beard on the ex-monk's face.

Dorian keeps things as slow as possible, as to prolong this exquisite moment as long as possible.

But all good things must end, eventually.

They must. But this one ends in ecstasy, for both of them.

Intense ecstasy, made even more intense for Athelstan -- hopefully -- by the way Dorian is nudging him on with his finger.

Oh yes. Most certainly, because Dorian knows what he's doing.

Athelstan's voice is hoarse by the time he finishes.

Dorian, letting go of his control when Athelstan is done, and finishing just after him, collapses bonelessly into the snugness of his rococo bed, his hands slipping off Athelstan's body while he is catching his breath.

Athelstan drops beside him, exhausted, with only enough energy left to lean into his side.

"...you did promise something new."

"Did I disappoint?" Dorian murmurs, opening his eyes just enough to peer at Athelstan.

[athelstanthescribe]

"Not in the slightest." He curls against Dorian, taking his hand, and gives him another languid kiss.

Dorian kisses him back. "Nor did you," he says. "This was very lovely. You really know to appreciate pleasure by now. The Vikings and Milliways have been good influences on you."

[athelstanthescribe]

"More Milliways, in this field", he says with a touch of amusement. "Though the Vikings in the way of enjoying life in general."

He couldn't go back if he tried.

"Milliways has a way of opening one's horizons," Dorian says. "It destroyed all of my cultured ennui within the first hour."

Athelstan chuckles.

"Have you really seen all your world has to offer?"

[capture_eternity]

"I don't think so," Dorian admits. "But it's all very far away. It would take months to travel to Japan, for example."

[athelstanthescribe]

"Even in your time? I thought ships had grown unrecognisably faster."

[capture_eternity]

"We only have steam ships, no aeroplanes yet," Dorian says. "It would be over a month, going around the world in either direction. We're not much faster than Jules Verne who had people go all the way round in eighty days in his novel."

[athelstanthescribe]

Athelstan nods.

"And not much of interest to see in the open ocean, unless you like whales."

"Nobody can like whales that much!" Dorian giggles.

[athelstanthescribe]

"You never know." He leans against Dorian's shoulder. "Somebody might."

[capture_eternity]

"Well, for anything there is in the world, somebody will exist who deeply loves to know all about it and is willing to spend their entire lives researching it," Dorian says. "So yes, whale obsession might be a thing."

[athelstanthescribe]

"And it's from those people the rest of us learn a little of what they know." Athelstan peers towards the bathroom. "Do you think we can drag ourselves back to the bath, or sleep first?"

"What do you prefer?" Dorian says. "I don't mind lolling and basking just for a little, feeling little drops of liquid Athelstan drip out of me onto the sheets and talking nonsense, or nothing."

" - Dorian." He eyes him. "Little drops of liquid Athelstan? Really?"

Notably, he's not blushing.

"Poetic words for sensual pleasures aren't easy to find," Dorian says. "Seems that this time around, I unfortunately overshot and landed squarely in the domain of the ridiculous. I am sorry if that destroyed the mood."

[athelstanthescribe]

"Luckily not", he says easily. "But you don't need to be poetic. Unless you felt like it."

"I don't like to use rough, plain words if there are pretty ones to use instead," Dorian says, "unless the rough words give one a frisson of sensual pleasure by their very roughness. I like the feeling of your seed dripping out of me where you fucked me -- is that better?"
